Torrox-Costa has 9km of beach in total. The volcanic sand beach “Playa Ferrara”, 5 km long, is very well equipped, has the blue flag conforming to European standards and in agreement with the Ministry of the Environment, with its showers, “chiringuitos” (cabañas de bars on the sand) and “sunbeds”. It is totally safe and is controlled by lifeguards (in season).
The beach is of fine gray sand, due to its volcanic origin. At its eastern end, near the residence in Ruselo and Balcón Mirador del Mediterráneo, there is a small rocky cove, called “Playa Chica” and the mouth of the Torrox River, known as “Playa del Sillón”.
The playground has swings, slides, trampolines, etc. The area is surrounded by terraces so parents can have coffee and watch the children playing.
Or enjoy the pool.
The pools are collective, fenced and always supervised by a lifeguard. Depending on the residence, they have 2 parts: a large one and a small one for children. Around the pool has a solarium / garden for sunbathing. Admission only with the ID card, will be provided upon arrival. Open according to the season. There are 2 tennis courts (with extra charge and under reserve, for residences: CARABELA, MADRID, COSTAORO and CAPRI). No swimming pool for RUSELO building.
Admire the view of the walk during the day and the atmosphere in the evenings and summer nights.
You can walk calmly along the walk of more than 2 km during the day and night.
At night, there are small local craft markets for gifts, clothing and costume jewelery, artists, musicians, etc. It is a very pleasant atmosphere on the walk during the summer season.
The sunsets are different every night, some impressive. And you can not miss the sunrise at the Torrox-Costa lighthouse.
